I was the kid being bullied. We understand why bystanders don't act... As we get older we all grow stronger, and the bitterness over it can turn to forgiveness. Once stronger, we can help others who are still struggling with it. That is, if people share their experiences and are open to it. All it takes is one person present to step forward.
