It's truly sad when you can't trust people anymore. I know the feeling...I just wish everyone would be true from the beginning. Don't worry Gaga, you will always have your little monsters and close friends to support you! I wish you the best. :)

First of all, I'm a little monster. I come to this site everyday, her music helped me through a difficult time and last week just bought my tickets to the BTWB. I love Gaga. That said, the fur issue really bothers me, and I'm confused ever since. See, she may have said she stayed away from skinned fur. The coats may be fake (I don't know if I believe that) but the problem is: she said she would buy it, wear it, and she sees it as ART. Is killing animals for fashion really art? Being "legal" fur doesn't make it any less wrong. Do we really need to kill animals for their fur nowadays? Leather and meat should not be compared because they are a different issue. Also, it's not because leather and meat are consumed thar fur should be ok. It's not because there are "bigger problems" that one should be ignored. So Gaga says fur is art. That makes a good deal of her fanbase agree and support her. Maybe some will buy a fur coat because Gaga would support it. The designers would sell more and "make more art". That's just making it bigger. Most people still eat meat, but isn't it great that so many famous people and artists are vegetarian or vegan? Don't you think there are lots of people that have been influenced by them? It does make a difference, even a small one. I know exactly how you feel. The Gaga that made me a little monster, helped me through difficult times and gave me confidence is slowly fading. I can't tell if that's good or bad or how that's gonna turn out. And after the furgate and other comments from her I'm getting somewhat suspicious. I want to keep loving her, and I'm sure I'll always enjoy her music, but...she's changing too fast.

I feel like this exactly. I'm so confused! It's not a question of respecting her views...it's something that can't and shouldn't be supported. I wish she would talk more about this, and maybe reconsider her decision.

It does seems that it's true but it's going to be weird for some people (me included) to get used to the normal outfits and just music. The "be yourself" messages helped a lot of people and made them strong. The over the top outfits were beautiful and said we shouldn't be afraid to look the way we want to...and it's pretty hard to admit they were just a "lie", or even a mask for the unhappy Gaga. What matters in the end is the music and I'll keep following it. I'm really excited to see what the ARTPOP era is going to be like! But at the same time I'm afraid the person that inspired me was just a "lie". Or maybe I'm just suspicious of Gaga because of the fur thing, but that's another topic. Anyway, I still love her.

It may be a little hypocritical (sp?), but even though eating meat and using these cosmetics is just as wrong, the way fur is removed from the animals is just barbarical and cruel, not to mention totally unnecessary. There's the fake alternative. Humans do not need animal fur to survive the cold anymore, do we? They are skinned alive and left to die...anyway, it's just too cruel and not necessary. A lot of people nowadays don't use these cosmetics and don't eat meat anymore, so they can talk. I love gaga, but since I've hear about the fur thing, I'm just too confused. I want to understand her, but I just can't. It's not something I can support.
