Gaga wearing fur

I know people are upset with gaga wearing fur but dont you think you are all being a bit unfair? i mean most of you enjoy eating meat and most of your creams and cosmetics have been tested on animals. No one received as much hate as gaga for wearing fur so why cant we just be there to support her and not agree with the haters?

First: Sorry for my bad english. I don´t like comment but this topic is important. 1.- We kill animals for alimentation or survive. Maybe is "cool" waring fur (Cause aesthetic pleasure) but is more important the life. 2.- The animals have feelings....because when you hurt them, they cry or they run for example. 3.- Is nececcesary kill animals for a dress nowadays? Is it necessary to inflicting pain on an animal to make a coat? maybe if you don´t have sources or you are alone in a jungle...but NO if you have money. No if you are a pop star.... 3.- There are two types of hypocresy: ignorance or convenience. I think Gaga not wear fur because she enjoy looks the pain... maybe she is showing her ignorance about the topic...so I think we can help her. At least we can help to her fans....but wearing fur because "oh yeah, I love the colors of this scarf (for example hehe)" is not good at all. 4.- Yes, I love Gaga but I pretty sure that Gaga can change..... I repeat: my english is bad, but I hope you can understand some words =(

what irks me is when people say that killing animals for fur is more violent than how they kill for the meat. they're basicaly saying it's okay to KILL for meat because the animals are being killed by what the people consider to be the humane way. they're saying as long as it's humane, it's okay to kill. so basicaly if people found a way to kill the animal in a more humane way, most wouldn't be arguing about this. to me, it's both killing, so you shouldn't argue that one is better because the result is the same. people need to be honest and look at the real reason why everyone is upset over killing for fur, but okay with killing for meat. It's because most people eat meat, so they can't say anything about Gaga wearing a meat dress, but most people can't afford a fur coat and so can call Gaga out.

Wearing fur is by no means the same as eating meat. The meat industry is improving particularly here in the UK where the demand for higher welfare animal products is continuously growing and some supermarkets only stock free range eggs etc now and even McDonalds only uses free range eggs here. The fur trade is beyond cruel not only in the way they are killed or skinned alive but also in the breeding methods. The fact that the fur came from an animal I don't think bothers many people, that's the same as wearing leather etc, it's the supporting of such an evil trade and the way animals are treated. I don't hold it against Gaga if she chooses to wear fur it just upsets me. I'm actually glad she sparked this debate in some ways it gets it back into the public eye. Although there is much debate about whether her fur coat is real or not some websites say it's not which is good :)

Watch this and tell me it doesnt upset you... Its EXTREMELY barbaric how they take the fur off of the animals. Everyone who buys a fur coat or thinks its no big deal should watch this video. i agree with you both but then again we dont need meat to survive or the cosmetics, personally i dont meat and i think its wrong to kill the animals but then again thats just how it is..one dies for another.

While everyone is entitled to their opinions and beliefs (of course!), I think we shouldn't worry about what others are doing unless it's really hurting others. If Gaga wants to wear a fur coat, let her, even if you don't agree with it. If someone wants to wear a cape and pretend to be a superhero, let them, it's not hurting you in any way, right? I understand people get really touchy on the subject of animals, I personally love animals and have a little motto ("Pause for Paws" thanks to one of my best friends), but she isn't actually hurting anyone by maybe wearing one fur coat. I support Gaga, and I just think there are bigger issues in the world than worrying about what someone else is wearing.

There's the fake alternative. Humans do not need animal fur to survive the cold anymore, do we? They are skinned alive and left to die...anyway, it's just too cruel and not necessary. A lot of people nowadays don't use these cosmetics and don't eat meat anymore, so they can talk. I love gaga, but since I've hear about the fur thing, I'm just too confused. I want to understand her, but I just can't. It's not something I can support.
