I understand how it be seen as hypocritical, but I think we all understand 'Born This Way' as a love yourself anthem. I don't see any wrong in getting the lip injections because they aren't permanent and sometimes you do get bored of your features, so you maybe dye your hair or get a haircut. It's not like she got a nose job and a chin job, she didn't permanently alter her features. Besides, what if she did decide to get plastic surgery? I believe getting plastic surgery is only a sign of weakness if you do not accept and love yourself before the surgery. 'Born This Way' is meant to inspire confidence in people to love themselves for who they are, once you love yourself it doesn't hurt to indulge a little, no?
