Veteran 8th Grade Reading Teacher to Title 1 students, mom of three adults with integrity and kindness, teacher of the beauty of diversity, writer, scrappy, rebellious, courageous former New Yorker, relentless child advocate, crusader for kindness, proponent for the civil rights of all people facing stigmas, prejudices and bullying, advocate for all people in the LGBTQ community (especially our minority youth), proponent for affordable and accessible mental health access to our youth, to minorities, to senior citizens, and to anyone feeling desperate or alone, concerned citizen for affordable, competent and accessible health care for all people, proponent of making college affordable for all students, supporter of relieving the student debt of our young people, tireless advocate for the reform of our public education system, exhausted by the cruelty and insanity of our country’s political chaos, daily witness to the pathological impact of school shootings on our youth, animal lover and sucker for homeless or abandoned animals.
