wow.. this blew away on some many levels.. first.. any scar is a battle scar.. a battle you won.. wear it proud! ;-) second.. my daughter has a scar down her spine because her back was broke when we were hit by a distracted drunk driver. She has a hard time with her scar.. she hates it. I have a hard time understanding because I look at it.. and she is here.. she is walking which without the surgery she would never have again.. a battle she wins everyday.. but your post made me think about it from her perspective a little more.. thank you. But I still think you should wear your scar PROUD AS HELL!! ;-) And third.. I had an older brother that passed when we were children.. I remember very little about him.. but I know my parents donated his kidneys to a little girl.. who is alive because of him and my parents.. you have saved a life.. every time you look at the scar.. just remember you are a badass and you got to be a little bit like Jesus ;-)
