You guys should know it is a prop, would Lady Gaga the woman that lives for love and non-violence where a real wolf? No, and a director wouldn't risk it. I personally think it is perfectly fine since it is fake, the whole image thing isn't that big of a deal. If anything she is promoting animal safety awareness because it is fake.
