I'm 50 years old. My partner left me five years ago for a man, she was the love of my life, I've been barely treading water since, to stay afloat. So I listen to music and watch movies, that are upbeat and non depressing; since I already suffer from depression, anxiety, and being bipolar. I believe there is positive in all people, even if its very small, it's in there somewhere. And I never give up trying :)
