Biography

I was born in Valentine's day in 1997. despite this, my birth was not romantic in any way. my biological parents were drinkers and drug addicts. if this wasn't enough, they were also abusive and neglectful. my biological brother Trevor and I may have been adopted by our foster care family, but their impact is still very visible today. my biological brother Trevorgot most of the impact. being born prematurely because my biological father kicked my mom in the stomach, Trevor was born with cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis as well as fetal alcohol syndrome. I was born with fetal alcohol syndrome and scoliosis. in case you don't know what fetal alcohol syndrome or fasd is, it is a disability caused by a mother drinking during pregnancy. fast forward to age 3, and my parents ( what I call my adoptive family ) would listen to Cher while cleaning. it was the only music I tolerated. as fasd impacts hearing sensitivity. pretty soon, I was impersonating my idol and singing to her songs. on my birthday in 1999 or 2000, I was given my first Cher concert DVD. " Cher Live Las Vegas believe your " it was the moment I knew my passion. I liked singing before this , but it was when I saw the stage design, dancers doing incredible choreography and her amazing costumes that I knew I wanted to be a performer. my first performance was at a family friend's wedding. I was 4? and I was stage frightened. there were all these new faces I'd never seen and I almostdidn't do it. But then everyone I recognized gathered at the front of the stage so all I could see was them, and the whole room loved it. elementary school came around and was in music class. My music teacher eventually became my piano teacher. but it didn't last long because I learned by ear and she was determined to get me to read music. I'd be playing Beethoven by ear and she would just tell me to focus on scales.
