NOTE: This is about the characters of Oz in relation with the different Gaga eras, not just about the 'looks' or wigs in itself. ;) For me is a METAPHOR of her 'road' to stand where she is now with ARTPOP. Of her life. Not necessarily a comparison of the wigs/clothes and eras, i know that part already, i lived those eras. I know electric yellow hair is 'The Monster Ball Tour' lol But to me is another meaning, a 'journey' like the yellow brick road, in a way. "My ARTPOP could mean anything". When i knew the theme of this performance 'OZ' i couldn't avoid thinking about how the Wizard of Oz characters reminded me so much of YOU Gaga, i love 'Wizard of Oz', 'Wicked' the Musical (and i read the book, that helped too) & Judy Garland <3 <- i love her. And i told a few friends about how you would do a perfect 'Dorothy', a perfect 'Glinda' & a perfect 'Wicked Witch of the West' or 'Elphaba'. <- specially this one, for real! xD Then i immediately started making comparisons, i said how 'Glinda' with her fluffy big dress & her blonde hair & the magic reminded me of 'The Fame era', it was FANTASY, and it was a 'yin' or 'light' side: happy and positive. The White Witch. The 'Wicked Witch of the West' reminded me of 'The Fame Monster', and i always felt more attracted by the character of the Wicked Witch West because it's different, with her green skin, mysterious, intellectual, dark, and of all people i know you know, Monsters can be beautiful too. Being different is a good thing, there is something special & unique about those who are different. And the darkness can be beautiful (and seductive). So, for that reason it represented to me 'TFM era' ('yang' or dark side; darkness) & also BTW era because of that same darkness. (BTW was the full yin yang, both opposites trying to be together). Both eras represent the Dark side of the FANTASY. The Wicked Witch. And i did notice the lime green hair that you used at the last BTW Ball.. :'( *nostalgia* The 'Wizard' for me (like in the music video, the Magician) represents your transforming ability, the 'shape shifting' quality, like magic. <3 And then if we go back to REALITY, there is Dorothy, who represents reality, coming from Kansas, and so the Farm Dorothy is Gaga before the fame, 'pre-fame' or 'Stefani'. But i thought about how you are coming back to raw reality, with ARTPOP, back to who you were (but better) like if you killed the blonde in yourself, you took off your wigs and clothes and make up to show us, the REAL YOU, your soul. The true Artist behind the 'theatre' or 'covers'. [And you may not believe me, but i saw what u were doing with this album/era way before the Swine Fest or V Magazine interviews ;) <3] And adding to that, i saw that Dorothy & ARTPOP Gaga (with Applause concept) have something in common: both want to go back HOME, back to the people they love, and in order to do that, they would do ANYTHING, even 'KILL' if its necessary, to make it happen. (Well, Dorothy was asked to kill the wicked witch to go back to Kansas). You would walk a long road and go through so many things for that longing, cause it was so strong!, so Glam Dorothy Gaga is ARTPOP. Going back to the 'Applause', back to the stage performing for us <3 "THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!." Your 'HOME' though, is not reality but the place you created for yourself, your fantasy World (ARTPOP is your 'Oz') and you wanna share that fantasy World with us right? ;) let us in!!!! ;D <3 I swear to you @gaga that i knew your would do this! ;O OMG! and it was so perfect!!!! <3 ;'D So beautiful and funny and so cute!!! ;3 and OMFG! Fozzi Toto xD (i also fantasized with that at some point lmao) and your dancers were amazing! so funny too hahaha <3 specially the Cowardly Lion LOL! that weave, he should use it more often xD ... and the whole outfit! lmao LOVED ALL YOUR LOOKS, WIGS, THE BOW, AND RUBY BOOTS! <3 i hope that you see this because it's my reinterpretation of your performance (conceptually) i know many don't get it cause they just see the 'looks', to me the relation is behind the covers. >Farm Dorothy - Pre-Fame < Reality /Sadness >Glinda - The Fame < Fantasy /Good/POP/Happiness (a part of TFM too, cause Monsterball>POP & Happiness/Fun) >Wicked Witch West - TFM & BTW < Fantasy /Evil/ART/Sadness (Mystery, hidden meanings, deepness) >Glam Dorothy - ARTPOP < Reality /Happiness/ART into POP (back to her origins but improved & stronger)
