I work in education. I think a lot of times, teachers can come off tone deaf when they berate a student for not liking a particular subject (which they shouldn't be doing to begin with). They really need to understand that not everyone is going to like a subject, but at least try to cultivate an appreciation for it. Appreciation doesn't imply a "like" of it, but just an understanding that it is what it is. I'm so sorry you had that experience with your teacher. They really should know better.

Scheiße. It can be tough being a strong female and carving a place for yourself. There's a lot of bullshit that places unnecessary barriers in the way of achieving that which men hardly face. It's a wonderful anthem for fighting back & breaking barriers.
