My name is LeAnne but you can call me Leigh. I’m 32 years old from Long Island and been a Gaga fan since The Fame. I was a huge rock and metal fan and pop wasn’t cool to like at the time and while I was skeptical about her at first, hearing her interviews and her talking about about all the music and things I liked and hearing her live piano covers just clicked something in me. What started as guilty pleasure listening, i then became a proud supportive fan and little monster. My first girlfriend Justina Moltisanti and I bonded over her music and Bad Romance was “our song”. She was the first person of any gender that I kissed and dated and that album still makes me think of her and her memory, as she passed in 2018. I always felt as if Gaga’s music was the soundtrack to my life. All her albums came out right when i was going through similar things. Born this Way came out right when i graduated highschool and I was still riding the high of young adulthood and discovering myself. Artpop came out when I was in the beginning stages of my drug addiction. The first time i listened to it was on Molly. Joanne came out when I was in rehab, the very first time I got clean. The Star is Born soundtrack came out the year i met my future husband and soulmate and we watched the movie together which made him a fan too. Chromatica came put during the worst most painful period of my life but the lyrics comforted me. It was the same year I was diagnosed with PTSD on top of all my other mental afflictions. And Harlequin and Mayhem are her best works yet imo. I listen to them everyday and while life is still in a hard stage for me, its finally on the up and is ending soon. Thank you Lady Gaga, I hope one day I get to shake your hand.
