Right before playing The Edge of Glory at piano, Gaga talked in Birmingham about the importance of friends that accept us as we are. In that moment, surrounded by thousands of people, I felt so alone... I had nobody. I went there on my own. The tears started to come out and I couldn’t stop them. Somehow, the ones around me sensed this and embraced me in their arms. The fact that we didn’t know each other didn’t stop them. That was the most beautiful thing I have ever experienced in my life.
