This was my final project when I attended a makeup school in NYC called Makeup Designory aka MUD in 2015. I drew a concept design of this creature beforehand. It is a full head silicone prosthetic. I designed, sculpted, molded, casted, pre painted and applied this makeup. Doing special fx makeup and sculpting masks and prosthetics is something I've had a strong passion for since I was around 9 years old. I knew it right off the bat that it was something I wanted to pursue as a career. This alien perfectly embodies the style and vision I had at that time. I created this alien to represent me as an artist and this design I created really reflects what inspired me to create it the first place. My first inspiration to do special fx was the 90s Goosebumps tv show specifically the episode The Haunted Mask. Once I got older I got into 70's and 80's horror and sci if films and I sort of took all those creatures I've seen in Goosebumps and the ones I've seen in 70s and 80s horror films and sort of morphed them into what became this alien.
