I don't think that this is necessarily about bullying. Body image is a very personal thing because it gauges how comfortable you are with yourself. If someone perceives themselves as "too fat", and they want to do something about it, we should encourage it. We shouldn't say "be yourself" because being "fat" isn't about "being yourself". A lot of people do things to conform to society and fit in, but when it comes to the body itself, most people are naturally PHYSICALLY uncomfortable with carrying excess weight. It just doesn't feel good to have rolls of fat hanging off your body. If someone enjoys their body and feels comfortable with themselves, then that is completely fine. There is nothing wrong with that. When someone becomes obsessed with their appearance -- that is something to be concerned about. We should discourage unnatural bodily alterations such as breast augmentation and cosmetic surgery, but we shouldn't necessarily discourage someone's desire to be (appropriately) thinner, as long as it's accomplished healthily and safely. What we need to do is change our values and perception of people. Sometimes we judge too harshly based on appearance... that is not okay. I do like the message that this photograph sends because it's more interpretive instead of pure propagation. I'm just stating my opinion...
This is how you feel? I understand you :/ But, even if I haven't see you, I can say you're not ugly. You're beautiful in your way, cuz God makes no mistakes, you're on the right track, baby, you were born this way. <3
Is it you, monster-sister? If yes: First of all: YOU ARE NOT FAT! If I meet you, I would shout you, because you are silly! You're beautiful, and this picture is about a real girl with real emotions. :) Fuck them all....
