After doing some research, they got 8.3 million, but that's because the other channels owned by Viacom were "helping" it. MTV alone generated 5 million views. Either way that's still small especially for a large TV event. MTV needs to come up with better tactics to attract more viewers. It was 9.1 million views if you count the views on the other channels that we're broadcasting it. But some of the reasons why people didn't watch is because it was streamed on some sites that they didn't count the views.
