I need advice about a bullying situation...Please help?

Hey monsters, I need your help. There's this girl at my school who has a lot of issues with being mean to people. She had a rough childhood so I understand where she's coming from, but I've always had my issues with her. You could say we are frenemies, we mutually don't really like each other or get along. Recently, these problems have extended to our other friends. Apparently she made some mean comments, though I'm not sure if they were intentional or ignorant. The comments were kind of racist, or that's what my friend said, the one she made the comment too. I've also heard her saying "That's so gay" with a negative connotation, and I've already told her to stop saying that. Here's the problem, my other friends started gossiping about her and bullying her back. Me and one of my other friends said to stop, and we left the table. I don't know what to do! I'm very torn between the two groups. I made the decision to not sit with them for a little while, but I'm afraid they won't resolve their issues. My friend has had many problems with people excluding her, and she's been with me and my other friends for 2 years now. I don't want her to go back to being friendless just because she may come across as a mean person. I'm trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. I also don't really wan't to be her friend anymore because she has bullied me, but I don't wanna be in a situation where my other friends bully her back. What should I do? I think I should just not get involved. I also can't tolerate bullying in any form. As everybody said yet, you're right to not get involved. When I was in the middle school, my classmates used to call me fag and gay in a negative mood just because I joined a dance class and I love literature. I didn't mind: I let them talking just because I know which the truth is about me. And after years (almost ten years), when they meet me, they don't say hello to me and I don't say hello the them, because now we are irrilevant for each other. I know it hurts that this girl is bullying you and I know that it hurts hearing the word gay in a negative mood. I think you should talk with her, just you and her, talk about this situation. But don't be shy or scared by her. Be sure of who you are. Be yourself and calm. I hope things will be better. ps. sorry for my english, I'm italian and sometimes I make mistakes ahaha :)

If that frenemy as you call it doesn't give you any positive feeling or energy to your life, If she is really not kind and just a rude person put her out of your life. The most important thing you have to look for it's your own happiness so don't think to much for the rest of the world and start prioritizing your feelings over the worries about other people. What I'm trying to say is that you have to look for the best for you and if you think that you will be happier wthout her, be without her. NEVER BULLY & BE BRAVE. The reality is that your gonna get bullied by someone in your life may that be when you're in school or in the work place and the way I think of it is That if the 2 girls are gossiping or whatever they are doing, theres gonna be a point where you are going to have to step in and stand hard on your feet and sort it out and move on cause I've had my experiences in school and it wasn't nice but not getting involve is the sensible thing to do but getting involved is also the sensible thing to do cause there might be a dat where it will get out of hand and something serious might happen. All I can say is your gonna have to stand up and take charge before it gets worse cause it will.

Let's focus on this being your problem insofar as it greatly bothers you and causes you to stress. That way, you have less to fear. Go to your school counsellor, a trusted teacher, or someone else in common within the community (if there is such a possibility), and talk openly to that person. Focus on how it bothers you to see all that division among your group and how the other girl could do much better if she had help; yet let the person know you are recalcitrant to get involved. Get assured that this is confidential, ask for advice and follow it; once there are others aware, they will be able to deal with the issue. Be strong, paws up!

Follow Gaga's lead. Always remain the nice person, the kind person. That is the only chance of changing things for the better. If people bully her back it only makes things worse.

I've had "friends" who I thought I was inseparable with. I was friends with a certain person since 6th grade to 11th grade. Around 9th grade is when she started betraying me and my other friend. She told everyone everything about us. Especially our personal things we only shared with her. Eventually, we couldn't stand it anymore and divided to have a talk with her about the issue. She noticed we were finally doing something about the issue and did the worst thing she could do to us. She left before the talk even ended and started to spread lies. She told everyone how we were backstabbing her and that she didn't know what to do. She even got the police involved for very false things we never did. Like trying to kill her. My other friend and I were terrified with the false things she was spreading so we just didn't bother with her ever again. Our lives have been better since we left her and she stills continues to buddy up with people only to spread lies about them. We try and warn people so the same doesn't happen to them. I know this isn't really about bullying, but I just wanted to share my experience with "hanging out with the wrong people." I personally think you should probably not see that person who hurts you anymore because it can prevent whatever might happen in the future. Of course, it's ultimately your decision though. Take care and I hope everything turns out ok....

If you two mutually don't like each other then I don't think it's going to work out. I know how it feels to want to be kind to everyone, but there comes a time where you need to be upfront and give some tough love, and also stick up for what you believe. Give her one last warning. If she's not willing to change leave. Because the negativity is just going to bring you down soon enough.

let her know how a bad girl she has been, and why those things came back, and try to show her that she must change, taht you dont like what she is doing and why, the worst thing is doing nothing, but you can decide if u dont wanna get involved. try to make them talk togueter too and sy what makes them arguing

You're right to not get involved. Keep doing what you're doing and take the high road always, never be a Mean Girl. But you don't have to stay friends with this girl if you really don't like her.
