Hey Everyone, Here we go I burned a serious amount of brain cells thinking about a subject to talk about. Trying to catch your attention and interest. OK I think I'm ready. Bear with me, I'm a bit nervous. I've always been the one to join in, not start things. Well, what do you know, my subject is right in front of me. Stepping out of your comfort zone. Whether it is coming out to family friends, public speaking, job interviews, or trying something new. Leaving our comfort zone is scary, almost impossible for some. So here I am out of my comfort zone of being behind the scenes. Interacting here with you has helped me push my boundaries. I do have something to contribute. I quit my job and started my own business this year, which makes me uncomfortable because my husband still works and I have major hangups about relying on people, as well as a fear of failure. It probably comes from my father's standards growing up, and the resentment he openly felt towards my mom for staying at home. She re-entered the workforce after their divorce and was so lost. I don't want to end up like that. So far I haven't had much success with my business, but I'm working my butt off so I can be happy doing what I love, like Gaga. I know I have a unique style, the problem is selling it. I have always been the self-effacing, invisible girl behind the scenes, so I have no trouble creating, but I could use some practice self-promoting.

I Try To Stay Within My Comfort Zone, I'M Very Shy I Have Very Little Friends, If Any, I Think Because I.M A Weak BITCH, I Have To Be Told What To Do And What To Wear If I'M Going Out With I Will Call Her Sam. Being A Bitch Is Staying Within My Comfort ZONE.

Steeling out of your comfort zone is always an interesting and difficult topic. I've actually never came out to my family. I've kind of just sprang it on a couple friends but that's it. On here you guys allowed me to be myself and write my works and present my art. Ask for help and get advice. I will always be on here for anyone wanting someone to talk to. I had to leave my comfort zone by teaching a class. I work in child care and so had to break my problem with public speaking. Let's just say I ain't afraid at all anymore haha! Love this post! Keep pushing the boundaries!

Stepping out of my comfort zone is hard for me because I have rejection issues. Even sharing this is leaving my comfort zone. My mom and dad divorced when I was 10. I went to live with my dad who sold and did drugs. He was never home and when he was he always yelled at me and I couldn't do anything right, my own dad rejected me and he was all I had. I grew up quick and on my own. For me I discovered drugs around 14. Drug addicts did not reject me, they accepted me. I had a needle in my arm by 18. I have wasted many years and I am lucky to be alive. For me the turning point was I was tired of hurting myself and wanted to change my life and do what is right. I am 55 and have been clean now for 4 years. I love Gaga and her message. If this post could maybe help one person it would be worth it.

What an interesting subject! Stepping out of my comfort zone is really hard. I want to explore the world, meet new faces but as the same time, I'm scared and don't want to move. Scared to fail, scared to trust the wrong person or love the wrong person...my family is my comfort zone and it's a safe place, you know 😇

Good for you! I'm a big animal fan. I have 2 rescue cats. Great way for your daughter to get comfortable around pets. Pet peeve of mine when people judge without knowing anything about what they are talking about.

I've stepped out of my comfort zone recently. I was raised to be the quiet polite girl who just kinda blends into the background. I volunteer to walk dogs at our local animal shelter on the weekends. My sitter was sick so my daughter had to come with me. Now she's only 2 so there isn't much she can do but if they have a super gentle older dog, the staff will let her walk the dog up and down the hallway. She was walking a dog up and down the hallway and this lady (idk who she was) turned to me and said "I'd never let my child walk a German shepherd. They're horrible vicious dogs". Now the "vicious" dog in question was 15 years old, deaf, partially blind, and had arthritis. Not to mention he had given my daughter sloppy doggy kisses earlier. Idk what happened but something in me just snapped. All of my training to be sweet and polite just flew out the window. I looked that lady dead square in the eye and said "quite frankly I'm not worried about the dog. I'm more afraid of the fucking moron who had the audacity to open her mouth". Lol i don't think she liked me much after that
