All of the notifications!!

Hey Little Monsters, Soooo.... most of your phones may have exploded today. Yeah, we're sorry about that. We've been working on ways to make LittleMonsters.com more personal to you all and many Monsters suggested that they wanted to be notified when other monsters made a post. [So we introduced the user following notification system.](littlemonsters.com/...) This means you would get notifications whenever someone you follow, makes a post. We turned this feature off for the moment (since we don't want your phones to catch on fire with the first note of Edge of Glory all weekend) until we can make it much easier for everyone to understand what they're getting notified about and how. You can update your notification settings further by going to: platform.thebackplane.com/... If you a member of multiple communities, you must go to each community to update your settings for that specific one. Please feel free to leave comments on your feedback, suggestions on how you would like the notification system to work or funny stories of the uncomfortable moments you experienced today with your notifications going crazy. I want to first off say.. :) You did an amazing job & I got what u were doing by notifying when our followers post which is great :D maybe have a section of our followers when they post and our other notifications like comments/likes etc. I didn't get mad at all haha & I don't think anyone should have lol it threw me off guard when I saw 99+ notifications tho haha I was like wow thank you monsters 👏💜❤️😊 We love this website & thank you all for being part of it :')

You guys are amazing, don't get us wrong, we were just confused and quite annoyed by all the notifications we were getting. I mean, they were really cockblocking up the ones where people commented on our posts..Thats all

Hey Charlotte!! First of all I love you!! I'm sorry if today has been hard on you. Just know that we all do appreciate the hard work you put into making this site better for all of us each and every day!! Thank you and the backplane team for that!!!😀 I understand the idea that you had, but I agree with Gaga Magazine's approach about only getting notifications from people you choose to get notifications from! It's very similar to what I believe we were also discussing with @laurakorf in terms of having a box to choose next to each person would be great! I'm not sure if that's something you as backplane are able to do or not but I think that would be a better way to go about it. I also think maybe it would be a good idea to do a test run with a few people before launching anything new so that you don't run into more problems with the entire community. Again, thank you for always being amazing and putting so much effort and time into everything you do! We love you all!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi, Charlotte! Could you please consider adding an option under notification settings for "Official Member" (i.e. Gaga, The Haus members, & others) post notifications? It would be great to customize a bit further in this way, as I definitely want to know immediately when Gaga posts, but it's a bit overwhelming to be notified instantly when ALL of the fantastic people I follow post. (That's what's great about the personalized feed on the home page--I never miss keeping up with them, but on my terms!) Thank you for working so diligently for the fan base! I'm sure this has been a stressful situation, but everything that is great has its growing pains! :-)

Thank you for such improvement! That will be great to catch up all the news of the people and artists we follow! It's always good to see other's works! Maybe the notifications can be like only for the people we choose (from the ones we follow). For example, on facebook, you "Like" many pages and artists, but there is an option that you can get a notification each time that artist posts something, but you need to go manually and choose that specific page, so here, if we follow 5000 people, our phone will be like as you said, ringing TEOG all day :p but from the people we follow, we might only be interested in check some of them, you know? It's just a thought :)
