hi... My name is Orlando Veliz and my parents don't accept me just because I'm GAY... In the christmas week my parents and I, we had a really bad discution about me and my sexual Orientation and my mom finished the talk with the phrase " I give birth to a man , not a hybrid . " Well... I instantely cried. Lock the bedroom and I put my head phones and I started to listenig Artpop music when I heard: "A hybrid can withstand these things. My heart can beat with bricks and strings. My ARTPOP could mean anything " and I smile. Stay strong! I know it is hard to think that your own parents would say such mean things. Live YOUR life for you and no one else. In the end you only have yourself that you need to be around forever, and it is not worth it to compromise your happiness for family, friends, or any other person. You love who you love...the inability to accept is their loss. I speak from my heart as my own family said vicious things when I was 17 and they discovered I was gay. That was 20 years ago. They did not go to my high school graduation because "I don't want to see you walk across that stage, knowing the choices your making in life." Although I will never forget those words... I do forgive them. My parents and I NOW have a great relationship. They are very kind to Valari and only want me to be happy in life. This is after 3 years (from 17 to 20) of us not talking... Then many years of my Family learning what is most important. It does get better... But not if you give in to being someone your not. Paws Up! [[lm.heart]] [[lm.pawsup]]

Orlando I'm sorry that things are so difficult with your parents. It takes a lot of courage to be who you are in the face of strong opposition from the ones you love.
