#GagaSongOfTheWeek No.7!!!!!!

Dedicated to @redcoatluke Monsters, this week's #GagaSongOfTheWeek is MARY JANE HOLLAND!!!!! When I first heard all the songs from ARTPOP this was definately one of my favourites. This is quite an escapist song. It's about when Gaga was in Holland and she wanted a night away from fame so she dyed her hair and went out in Amsterdam and for the night she called herself "Mary Jane Holland". So it can be a story about trying to escape your problems. I had a bad day today so it's very fitting for today. I loved the performance of this at the artRAVE it was so cool! It's also really good for dancing too! (Particularly if you have three cabaret chairs on hand!) I actually think it is the saddest song on the album - sadder than Dope. She had to escape. This is before she realized she needed to turn around and yeah...its fun - but it isn't healthy, and you can't be yourself. It's not like she can go to a club and just enjoy herself like we can.

This is such a great song. The first time I heard the preview I thought it was really noisy and I couldn't follow it but after listening to it a few times and had learned the melody I realised how amazing it was. Madeon did an extraordinary job with the production and the lyrics that Gaga wrote are really great! One of my favourites from ARTPOP.

Omgaga since a few weeks ago I have suddenly become SO OBSESSED with this song!! I didn't know why before, but now I'm thinking it's because I have been looking for some sort of escape from life without the use of drugs or alcohol lately, so instead I listen to this crazy masterpiece :} ;D I love it sooooooo much <3 <3 <3

I love this song so much it's pure magical and definitely one of her most underrated songs. That Cabaret best and the choreography at the artRAVE were fantastic :D sorry to hear you had a bad day :(
