#GagaSongOfTheWeek No.4!!!!!

This week's #GagaSongOfTheWeek is..... The Edge Of Glory!!! I really love this song it's one of my favourites for dancing from Born This Way! This song is about that moment of when you are about to die. Gaga wrote this song after her grandfather passed away and she wrote it about that. I think the beat of the song and the brass instruments are amazing, really really catchy. I remember hearing Gaga singing this at the #artRAVE (the stage was dark so we couldn't see her) and even though I don't relate directly to the songs could feel the soul in her voice and it gave a moment where you just listen and don't watch which was amazing! I feel like Gaga is singing to death in this song with lyrics like "I'm on the edge with you" like she's about to die. I think that this song is really powerful and it's good that it was added to the set list for the artRAVE MONSTERS: comment below what The Edge Of Glory means to you! I too love this song and the video. When she sang it live at the BTWball and artRave it was awesome. It is one of the video songs I play a lot, even though I play / watch all Gaga's vids/songs, I can never get enough of this. I really like the dance/jazzy beat to the music, it is so uplifting and can make anyone feel good even if they have had a bad or sad day. I also love her tarty look in this video, lol! (meant in a nice way of course)

The Edge Of Glory is a song which tells you that everything's gonna be alright and also makes you feel like that. It makes me happy and I feel liberated from everything that is bothering me at that moment.

This song has a lot of meaning for me, because my grandma passed away just this spring. I used to sing Gaga songs to her all the time in her kitchen, and this happened to be one song she really liked. When she started hospice, my family and I stayed over at her condo until the end, and the whole time I kept listen to TEOG over and over again, thinking about the lyrics and Gaga writing it about her grandfather's death. On the last day, I had been watching videos of Gaga performing it for hours, and then suddenly I somehow knew it was time, and I went into grandma's bedroom, my family came in with me, and we all stood around her and after a few minutes she passed away, and as she did she made a sort of gasping sound, as though she really had passed over the Edge into her Glory. It was the saddest thing I've ever experienced, but it was also beautiful. TEOG is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.

this song will always be the most special song to me as I relate it to the most difficult tme of my life. This song means so so much to me. The uplugged version is sooooo beautiful it makes me cry. I first it on BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend. This was MAGICAL!

This song is so special to me. The Edge of Glory meant to me a song about love and living on the peaks of its capability. It reminds me of my first love & how passionate I am for that person. The whole BTW album I could feel that Gaga was in love, so was I. I was falling on love with my partner. "There ain't no reason you & me should be alone tonight... I need a man that's thinks right when its so wrong... I gotta reason your the one who should take me home tonight... I'm gonna run right to, to the edge with you, where we can both fall in! " Omg that was my life, my emotion, I identified to much with this beautiful song. Omg I'm sobbing to myself as I'm writing this... haha but yeah LOVE is scary & emotional. Purgatory is a prefect example for love in a relationship. I listen to this song when I'm sad because it gives me hope. It gives me a chance to believe LOVE when it hurts me. This song is super beautiful & I thank Gaga for writing it.

The Edge of Glory is a very nice song, you released the energy, the strength you have inside, and a song when you reach the fame and you want to be with the one you love, and then die. Looks a lot like the songs 80 years in a country of Radiator Springs in a rock club, and you should listen to me late in the day with friends would be the top, so it's also the most the last part with a touch of jazz saxophone, not I have no words to describe it !! is very similar to '' Hair '' that only the edge fo glory is more rock, that's why Gaga put it as the last track of the album <3 PS this is real music not like those (few) crappy songs in the videos without sense of today ....

Edge of glory has amazing chorus, when i am alone at home and listening to this song, i always must scream "the edge, the egde, the edgeeeeee", because it's so powerful :')) the whole song is just brilliant, like all songs from BTW album :))

I love the edge of glory I always let loose when dancing to this song especially when the saxophone is playing and I start shaking my head the way she does in the video :D and you're right she's singing about death and our final moments on earth right when were on the edge of glory about to make the next step into the next life she wrote it about her grandad when he was dying
