11 years ago today, my doctor called me with some dreaded news - that my breast biopsy was positive for cancer. I am very blessed to say I am doing well today, though! I'm rocking my special "Survivor" hat! I urge all women (and men) to be vigilant in checking for anything unusual. I found my own lump, which ended up being stage 2 cancer. I'm glad I found it when I did, and not later when it would have been worse and possibly too late. Don't be afraid to check! Early detection is the key to survival!!! I must take this moment to tell @gaga that she helps keep me strong. As someone who has had cancer, there is always the nagging fear that it could recur. But Gaga, with the strength, resilience, and passion that she shows us all the time, inspires me to live my life and not be afraid!!! #breastcancerawareness
