This is my adoption story: I was born in a house by a house wife in Kirov, Russia on May 6th, 1996. When I turned 8 months old, my Birth mother couldn't take care of me anymore, so she brought me into the care of her friend Vladimir. He took care of my for about 4 days and then took me to the police department. I stayed there for about 2 days. They then took me to the Kirov orphanage where I stayed until I was 10 months old. One day, 2 strangers picked me up with tears flowing down their cheeks. These were my new parents. The next month and a half was spent in court and filling out paperwork for me to become an American Citizen. On March, 11th 1997, I arrived in America as a citizen. To this day, I think about my birth mother, but I know that putting me up for adoption was the bravest and kindest decision she ever made for me. I now love in Michigan with my loving adoptive family. If you have any questions about my adoption, don't be afraid to ask! I'm very open about this!
