Yes I totally agree. Its not the sex its because he controls everything she does. I'm surprised so many people deny this. RED FLAGS people! It shouldn't be a woman's fantasy to fix a broken man.
I read the books for a reason. I was writing my first novel in which the characters had sex. The sex part was inspired by Gaga's song, Monster. I was then reading The Wolf Gift by Anne Rice and encountered a sex scene. I read Anne Rice before and I am big fan of her. Those sex scenes were erotic and hot! I thought Fifty Shades was good and great like everyone said because it was the bestselling erotica of the time. I thought I should read them and see how she does it so I can learn. Yeah, I learned Christian is sick from an awful past, but more importantly the writing is terrible and beyond disgusting. I don't know why women love it. As a man, a straight one at that, I would never do that to anyone. Any woman should be ashamed in my opinion. I started hearing negativity AFTER I read them and got disgusted. UGH!! And worst of all, I realized after reading the whole stupid trilogy that it was Twilight fan fiction. BEYOND disappointed and feel so ripped off because I also LOVE Twilight. I am disgusted and yes, I won't be seeing it either. Funny thing is, the actors said the scenes were awkward and Jamie would never do that to a woman. He's married and has a daughter! AHH!
The book may not have been well written given the writer started out as fan fiction. But the story is interesting and if you actually read till the end of the trilogy it glorifies that actual love concurred violence and rape which Christian faced his whole life. She changes him for the better. So you're wrong and I am definitely seeing this movie.
im not gonna see it because it just isnt appealing to me. sex makes me uncomfortable, and i have heard of the rape culture it promotes, so i will not be seeing it.
Not only that , the quality of the writing is cheap , the characters and the dialogues are unreal i dont understand why people like it? Does this book hit any inner-inferior human insticts? I dont like seeing 14-years old girls going crazy about this movie , it doesnt feel right ....
