Diagnosed with Scoliosis

-Similar-Not my photo because I don't own a copy of my own but I remember what I saw of mine. on 5-15-14 When I went to artRAVE in Philly I was so happy and emotional and @gaga made me forget about all of it that night, even though I was having back pain at school before I left for the show. But now it feels like it got worse idk. So many things have happened to me but why this? #littlemonsters #bornthisway #ARTPOP #artRAVE #ME #PersonalUpdates

I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 10 and I'm 16 now. Do you know if you have to wear a backbrace or have surgery?

I have scoliosis too people had made fun of me because of it because on my back I have a little hunch cause of it :( but I try to ignore it because the doctors say it's not life threatening or anything like that

calm down, everything will be okay. i have a lot of friends with scoliosis and you have to be brave and do what the doctors tell you to do. believe in yourself! xoxo

My daughter has scoliosis and was diagnosed at age 10. She was put into a brace for 2years but it didn't work, her spine kept curving so she had surgery at age 13, she had 70% curve in c-3 to L- 3 and had rods put to fix it and now she only has 10% curve. She was very scared to have the surgery because she's a dancer and thought she'd never dance again. She recovered very well and quickly and went back to dance in 8months. Now she is in a dance academy at her high school and is still doing well. Keep your strength up and hopes up you'll be fine. There are exercises you can do as well to help with pain but ask your Dr. first. Good luck to you and I hope my daughters story helped you.

I have scoliosis as well. I was diagnosed when I was fifteen. By the time the doctors realized I had it, it was too late and I had to have surgery. Honestly, the surgery wasnt bad, I recovered perfectly. The only difference now is I'm taller and I can;t bend my back. But I feel no pain, and I have a stronger back then anyone else I know. Stay Strong Monster!

You will be FINE, whatever treatment you pursue - I had a full fusion in April 2007 for a case that was progressing so fast it became life-threatening. I am now happy and healthy. You will be too. :) <3 Best wishes and stay brave! Xoxo

I have scoliosis also. Mine isn't that bad though, the curve is small and only in my lower back. I can't have an operation to fix it otherwise I'll no longer be able to bend at the waist. It's painful some days but most days I don't even notice it. Trust me, no one will look at you differently :) my doctor told me that quite a lot of people have scoliosis. Just know you're not alone!

I was operated double curve and I say that despite all the pain and would rather be right to have a shoulder fallen more than the other and apart from Quasimodo to call me all the time and Baby you were born that way
