Remind me again why we hate her?

Stop the hate guys. This war has been quite childish. They're both talented, like it or not. She's even done the PAWS UP sign. :) I hope katy wins a grammy this upcoming year. :} <3 #SpreadLove

Sorry, but "we"? I don't give a shit about Katy Perry one way or the other. I like Gaga but most of these other contemporary pop stars aren't even relevant in my life or musical interests. I am a fan of Adele and Azealia Banks also but that's about it in terms of pop singers. It annoys me that because I'm a "Little Monster", people assume that I dislike (or even care about) people like Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato,etc. They all suck in my opinion and Gaga doesn't deserve to be put in their lackluster category.

I don't have an opinion on her. I don't listen to her music (but if teenage dream or I kissed a girl came on Id definitely rock out). I don't really understand why we have to like or dislike her. I'm not invested in her, what she does won't change me, whether or not she wins a Grammy won't change that gaga wasn't nominated. The fact of the matter is that she is the hot ticket item right now, where gaga used to be, so now everyone hates each other. But it's like, we are still enjoying Gaga's music, Katy's fans are enjoying hers, why can't we just focus on that and be happy? Katy perry doesn't have an incredible voice imo, that I will say, but she has a bunch of fans that look out for her too like we do gaga. It's cruel of us to turn our lady gaga FAN base into a Katy perry HATE base. Just doesn't make sense. That kind of negativity is sooo unnecessary. Let Katy be in the ugly bright media spotlight and let's have gaga to ourselves. [[lm.bear]]

katy should go back to her indie/punk rock roots. this whole selling millions to tween girls is only going to last for so long. she's talented, but leave pop to artists who do it well (gaga, grimes, marina, sia, etc). has anyone ever heard her cover of electric feel by MGMT? it's a great acoustic.

Please note that I said Katy was a very good performer. I did NOT say I liked her shows. She has never made her own way in pop music. She's let others do the thinking and planning of the shows which has proven to be a disastrous copying of Gaga's themes. Katy should really break away from the organization handling her and cut her own path. Her stage presence and voice are good enough to bring in crowds; hopefully with new show concepts.
