Well, this is my first post! Hello everyone! I did this piece while I was studying to be an art major in college. But with that college being so expensive and with many "starving artist" remarks from people I sought support from, I transferred to a less expensive college and switched my major to engineering so I would hopefully have a more stable career in the future. Since the switch, I have distanced myself from art. I'm almost scared to attempt any new art because I don't feel confident in my abilities and wish I had more practice and training. When I do feel inspired and search for ideas, I see so many talented artists and outstanding work, and I get discouraged in my limited artist knowledge and my abilities. I went to #artRaveHouston this past Wednesday. It was my third #LadyGaga concert and as always, LG talked about being yourself and letting creativity flow. She has been such an inspiration in my life and I love her for that. I'm trying to get back into creating art, especially since I have a break from school right now.
