Just a thought ...

Since the end of ARTPOP, I've seen a lot of negative comments about Gaga and her choice to take a break from pop music. The way I see it is like this. Gaga has worked her little ass off since she released Just Dance. She's done a continuous string of world tours, interviews etc to the point where all that strain caused her hip to break. So the fact that now she has chosen to take a rest to rejuvenate her passion for pop music doesn't phase me on bit. Although I would love nothing more than Gaga to be on too of the charts once more and claiming the crown to Queen of Pop, I would much prefer that she, personally and musically, is in a good place. I also have a lot of respect for Gaga for she is keeping jazz alive, which is a genre that is under appreciated by music fans. Also, she's being true to herself and to what originally inspired her talent! So I'm just going to be patient. I'm going to enjoy the contrasting Cheek to Cheek and then wait to see what Gaga comes up with. I love Gaga more as a person than as a pop star. All I want is for her to be happy. She has slaved away for many years and so she deserves all the free time she gets. Enjoy your rest Gaga. Enjoy your happiness :} <3

I'll stand by her whatever she does she is exploring many different genres of music that she is so incredibly passionate about it's good of her to dip her fingers in all genres it gives us and her variety and proves she's not just be another photocopied Pop star like so many before her

Preach it! Of course I would love to hear some new Gaga stuff now but I know she mightn't have anything em ready yet, I would prefer to wait for her to perfect it than hear it now in early stages. When the aura leak came out I heard monsters going crazy about it but I didn't listen because I wanted to hear the finished product on the album. I agree about Gaga being happy. So many monsters are horrible to katy just because she's had more chart success.but Gaga just wants us to b happy and we are.

I love jazz just like GAGA does always have im not picky with music genres I listen to Pop Rock Jazz Classical R&B Electronic 60s 70s 80s 90s I have a big music playlist I love all types of music the only type that I truly dislike is rap I like classic hip hop but not today's rap :)

After 80 ARTRAVES, she so deserves a rest, ARTRAVE memories will keep us going, especially the last one, when it comes out on DVD, I can watch her a thousand times, (and have), and love her each time !!! Her collaboration with Tony is elegant, and beautiful, and will be enjoyed by thousands, PAWS UP MONSTERS, GAGA WE LOVE YOU !!!!!

I totally agree with you! I go to school for musical theatre, and while I adore all her pop albums, it is very special for me to hear her singing these songs, and I love that she is introducing people to the genre. The only issue I have with your post is: "little ass". Respect the BAM

Gaga is incredibly versatile, unlike most artists. I love her for that. She is good at rock, at pop, at jazz, at blues, at electronics, and despite the music genre she sings, her soul remains untouched when it comes to her fans. It's an unconditional love that only us, little monsters, can feel. Loving Gaga is transcendental, and she feels the same for her fans. As you said, I'd much rather see Gaga not being at the tops but being truthful to what she feels than insisting on pop music when she got tired, leading her to not love her music as much as she does, and WE do. True Monsters love her anyway, not just because she changed her genre for a while to take the rest she deserves. Gaga isn't just music, it's a way of living. It's idealisms about love, acceptance and ways to achieve happiness and what we truly want.

Personally, I just feel like ARTPOP did not satisfy me like it did to others. Yeah the artRAVE was fun, but I feel like how could the era end when it didn't even end as a whole. There are so many unfinished things and concepts that all got started and never became anything. The music is great. But I think that she could've done more even if her old management betrayed her and wanted her to be more commercial. Bottom line, it makes me sad that it did not finish the way she planned it to be.

I dont think that she took a break or analyses like that - it was just an opportunity with Tony and she feels great. Im sure she writes pop music at the same time

I totally agree with you ! I wasn't into jazz before, but even if I don't like every song in the album, there are some I really really love! And Gaga looks more beautiful and happier than ever since she released cheek to cheek, she gives me even more hope, will to follow my dream and do what makes me happy. I will always stand by Gaga. No matter the music she wants to do, no matter what happens next in her carreer, I will never forget how her previous albums helped me and inspired me. Anyway "I can't give you anything but love" and "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got thaat swing" are now in my Gaga Top 10 !
