Gaga I love you but stop acting like you're above pop music when it's the thing that made you.

You're just coming off as overly pretentious lately. You always blast other pop stars who lip sync yet you attended Britney's Vegas show and referred to her as the Queen of Pop back in 2008? Such a walking contradiction. WE NEED 'POP' GAGA!

She mentioned Imogen Heap on Stern, saying she still loves electronic music but with artistic intention and that's what I think she's always done. Pop didn't make her, she made IT what it is today. And we have her to thank for that. Now she's paving the way for the next thing. And she still loves pop and electronic music and for that I'm pumped.

I wnat a pop Gaga not a jazz Gaga, she became famous with pop songs like Just dance, Poker Face, Paparazzi..... She can't leave the pop music and start to do only jazz music if she does this she is going to loose fans We need the pop Gaga!!!!!!!

What? Do you expect her to stay the same forever? Do you expect her to never evolve and change her views on issues? Are you holding grudges over every little thing she's promised us and never came through with? It kills me when I hear people saying that they wish she was "this or that or another thing". It is her prerogative to move on and never look back if she chooses. 20 years from now, she could be a successful jazz artist saying, "Making pop music really fucking sucked, but the fans were awesome." I'm not here for the music. I'm here for the art.

She doesn't need to give you a damn thing. Get off your high horse and accept that she will do what she wants. If she is tired of pop music she will move on. I understand that she is not tired of it, she just wants to try other things. If you don't like it you could maybe just leave? I am sick of people saying for her to change because they don't like it.

Gaga isn't "acting" she is simply being herself. Pop music is what put her on the scene but she has been clear from the start that she is more than just a "pop star" I am very grateful for her love of art and all cultures and all styles of music, because it further & widens my perspective ♥

I don't think she's being contradictory. Britney isn't the greatest singer and yes, she does lip sync as part of her live shows but she didn't start out that way. In the very beginning of her career, her voice sounded a lot different . Britney would also sing live with a backing track during her concerts. As her career has progressed Britney has become more and more a victim of the pop music system. I think Gaga recognizes this and only continues to support Britney out of respect for who she is as a person. Gaga isn't against pop music itself; Her anger is directed towards the pop music system that controls artists from reaching their true potentials.

Most people follow Gaga for the raw talent and moving messages she brings to the world. I love pop music but I'm willing to hear whatever comes next because I love Lady Gaga more. Does it even bother you that she was miserable for a large portion of her pop career?
