Some of you have no knowledge of Islam. Don't spread lies that you hear on tv or read on the internet. Turkey is an open minded country. Same goes for Pakistan (I've lived there for more than 4 years). The media shows the bad side of Muslim countries but not the good side. I've never heard CNN report that a man in Pakistan invented a car that runs on water but I've heard them say that a man bombed a market in Lahore. Islam isn't a bad religion nor does it spread violence. Gaga went to Dubai. A country that practices Sharia Law. But nothing happened to Gaga. Why? Because not all Muslims are the same. There are extremists in every religion, not just Islam. I love my religion because I know what it truly stands for. Women have a greater role in Islam. They are more respected, hence they are told to cover up. They are told to hide the beauty of their face and their body. And women cover up in their own will. Forcing is not part of Islam. As for homosexuality, that's basically a sin in every holy book. In Turkey, there are a lot of gays. Muslim people aren't that religious, they might seem like it but they're not.
