THIS IS AN ANSWER ON @melihmonster1 'S POST. IT'S MY OPINION ON THIS TOPIC. PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME AND READ TILL THE END BEFORE YOU STARTING THE HATE. I totally agree with you. I'm so happy about what you wrote. To be honest I can't stand the fans who are glorifying ARTPOP. They're lying to themselves. Because objectively seen there's nothing to glorify. This is not about taste. You can still like the album and in your opinion it can be her best one but you have to see the facts. ARTPOP definitely kinda flopped. Sure, for every other artist her sales would be awesome but for Gaga they're not. Compare them to her former sales and you have to admit that from this point of view ARTPOP flopped. I personally don't like ARTPOP at all. I don't like the outfits and I don't like the songs. Plus most important the message ARTPOP is suppose to give don't affect me that much. Not like BTW or TFM. But just because many don't like ARTPOP it does not mean it's a bad album. It's very experimental. I totally agree with you that she put enormous effort in the music. But that can go right or wrong. Maybe the world wasn't ready for ARTPOP. It's the same with her tour. I've seen two complete shows and I have to say I think they were horrible. There was like no concept at all and totally lacking the final. But I think that's because she was so eager to put as much as possible in this show. She's very in love with ARTPOP and want the world to understand ARTPOP. But sometimes less is more. Another big problem was her management. The promotion and the marketing was horrible. They seem to have no concept at all. It was all very hushed and chaotic. Many were like: "What ARTPOP is already released? I didn't noticed that." What there is a new single?" "Oh she had made a video? Didn't know that. What, there are already two?". Also the whole DWUW thing wasn't helping to sooth the chaos. So for Gaga's standarts ARTPOP flopped. But that does not mean we love her less. Everyone has their up and downs in their career. And like I said. Just because the people did not like ARTPOP it dosen't mean it's bad quality. I personally love Gaga all the same and I'll always support her. Even if I don't like the outcome of ARTPOP I try to understand and value her work. She put so much love in it. And to be honest we all know that Gaga was aware of the risk she was taking with releasing ARTPOP. She's a celver girl and knows how the music industry works. She had known that ARTPOP could very well flop. But the still took the risk because ARTPOP is her love. I think that's why we should value it even more. The question is what will happen to Gaga in the future. Like I said before on whatever she decides I'll always love and support her but you have to see it objectivley. I think many people bought ARTPOP because they loved Gaga's former albums and knowing that she's a great artist. But then they listend to ARTPOP and were dissapointed. They'll know think twice before buying the next album. And that's not good because ven if we all and Gaga don't care about charts/awards she needs them to be able to make great music in future. Her label won't allowed her to make experimental music if they can't be sure it sells well. Even if for us it about the music not the bling, for the music industry it's all about the bling and not the music. Sad to say but even Gaga is depending of the music industry's good will. If they think her music is too risky and might not sell, they won't allow her to do another album like that. That's what I'm talking about and what makes me sad. I want Gaga to to the music she loves but to be allowed to do this she has to be commercially successful. And to be commercially successful she has to made less edgy, more mainstream pop.....it's kind of a circle. I don't say I'm happy about it but that's how it is. Music industry is a super hard, cruel business which is all about money. So I guess for her career it would be best if her next album would be more like TF/TFM/BTW. If she decides to make another ARTPOP I'm totally fine with that. I understand her passion for ARTPOP and value what she's willing to do for it but I guess her career will go downwards. To be honest I think her next album will be more like TF/TFM/BTW. You can guess it from her latest attitude/style. It's more "back to the former eras". Ok, that were my thoughts on this topic. Now feel free to shower me in hateful pm's telling me I should go and kill myself like many of you did before when I said that objectively seen by the facts ARTPOP is her weakest album.
