Is Gaga's popularity decreasing? Is Lady Gaga really over? Let's check them out. Hello Monsters. I've seen so many news about Gaga recently that made me so sad. They say "Gaga is over. Her popularity ended. Katy Perry is better than her. Gaga is flop." And like that. And that's not the only reason makes me so sad. I don't actually judge but today I've seen some Monsters posted and wrote "ARTPOP IS SUCH A FLOP. JUST UNDERSTAND IT". This is so mean. Gaga is not a flop. Or is she? Let's check. I wanted to write it because I wanna show and tell my ideas about her. Since 2008, Gaga has been such a great artist. She was not only a singer like the others. She made a great era with The Fame. Then she released The Fame Monster. In years 2009 and 2010, she has filled a big hole in music industry. She was wearing so crazy outfits. And not the only pop industry, whole world was looking at her. She was making people shocked, with her wigs, musics, ideas and more. There was not good singers at all like her. So she made a big impact in music. After that, in 2011, she released Born This Way album. This was so personal and so meaningful. And as a reward of that, she gained so many gay, lesbian, bisexual and transexual fans. Biggest exaple of this can be you! And now I'm coming to the most important point. I wanna give an exaple. Imagine music industry as a forest. In 2008, Gaga has come and controlled the whole forest as a lion king. No Madonna, no Britney... I mean they were not so active in industry that time. Then she completely ordered whole forest and she was eating all animals. And think the animals as pop industry. But she was not the only lion. Other lions like Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus was not hunting enough. So while BTW Ball was going well, lion Gaga just fell asleep in peace. Then the other lions and the "controller" of the other lions understood that they should hunt the zebras and the other animals. Gaga was sleeping still. They hunted and hunted. In 2013-August, Gaga understood that the other lions grew a lot. So you understood what I meant. Most important point is here. I think Gaga was doing mistake. I'm not saying this as a LM here, saying this so objectively. Gaga didn't attend to music awards. That's truth. Last time was in 2012 Grammy? Or whatever. She released that hole and the other singers filled that. Gaga is still Gaga but audience and players of this game has changed. Audience still knows that Gaga is amazing but they also look for the others. And the management was bad also. Troy Carter left Gaga for money and she said us. DWUW was also about bad management and about R.Kelly's sex tapes. Gaga is a good person so she didn't release the video of DWUW to make Kelly safe. I think that way and it proves my idea. Gaga is trying a new style of music. Actually it's about melody and producement of the song. She tries electro-pop style or like that. Actually getting away from real pop. So that's why people call her flop. They can't get what they expected. Actually I was disappointed at first but I still love Gaga and it doesn't matter what award she got. Even she won't win an award till she die, she will be always in my heart and I know you'll lover her unconditionally. Maybe Gaga is finding herself with ARTPOP but she really needs to get back to old style and start making music like The Fame Monster era. I hope. So this is the truth that Gaga's popularity is decreasing. Because she is so busy to give concerts. She doesn't have enough time I think to attend to music awards. She knows better than us about what is going on actually. I just wanted to say that. And at last of this I wanna ask you something. Do you feel like ARTPOP is the end? I feel like that. ARTPOP is so meaningful for her and she adores that. And it makes me worried about that because I feel like this is the last album of her life. She can't get any better. There are two ways of her carreer: She will end ARTPOP in peace and make music like the old or she will continue to make electronical pop and her popularity will go deeper. I don't know which one is. We should understand that she is not over, yet. This is my idea. Please share your ideas below. I think ARTPOP is gaga's best album and its a shame it hasn't done as well as previous albums but I think if gaga continues with the electric pop ( which I hope she does ) she'll attract a whole new crowd of fans and rise to the top again and if she doesn't then the current little monsters will stay with her forever [[lm.pawsup]] [[lm.heart]]

I dont think Gaga's over. Katy and Miley have catchy tones. But time after time, ppl will be tired of that. The song that lasts longest is the most meaningful song. That's what Gaga want. Do you really think Miley and Katy will take control 4ever ? No. Look at Taylor Swift and Beyonce, their album "Speak Now" and "4" doesnt do good on chart, just like ARTPOP. And look at them now. "Red" made a big impact to music industry. And "Beyonce" gains tons of credit toward. And I believe that soon, Gaga will be even better than she was in Fame Monster era. ARTPOP just has 1 vol., and it's industrial,which style that many have heard, that's why it doesnt do good on chart. But vol 2 is different, it will be new, something nobody can imagine, and it will be the music bomb. So calm your tits plz

I personally think ARTPOP is Gaga's best album! The complexity of the songs are insane not to mention the array of emotions you fell though out every song!

she setted the bar too high in BTW era and failed to reach it in ARTPOP because of some circumstances, ARTPOP will be a great hit if it's properly executed (no track and video delays), still waiting for Gypsy, i think it'll be a good transition for her ACT 2 of ARTPOP

i think gaga should do what makes her happy. her true fans will always support her. and even if this album isnt as iconic as the fame or the fame monster was, it still means a lot to her and makes her happy. as long as shes happy, we should try to be happy for her. i dont think anyone will ever forget her though, she is one of the most talented artists alive

Actually we're still in the beginning of ARTPOP era so it is hard to judge whether it is flop or not, remember we will hopefully get ARTPOP act II!!! but more promotion is needed is true.

All artists have low points in there career, look at Beyoncé with "4" and look at her now. just because that happens doesn't mean their "over" and a "flop". ARTPOP was successful, it sold 2M copies! I also think people think ARTPOP isn't doing as good because BTW sold so much, but 2M copies is still a lot! And we don't want Gaga the go back to The Fame and TFM days because she won't be grow artistically and she won't be happy, isn't the important thing here is that Gaga is happy and Little Monsters are happy? Who gives a fuck what anyone else thinks, we have each other and her music! [[lm.pawsup]]

I agree with a lot you say but I also think Miley back in 2013 around the beginning of summer she broke out with we can't stop and shocked the world with wrecking ball I believe she made the general audience move on from gaga because she wasn't active so now a lot of people are more into likely also because time has changed like around august when gaga released applause I remember seeing a lot of little monsters on YouTube saying gaga was a flop and there becoming smilers (fake fans) it just upsets me because of this period were she wasn't active that made people forget about her I'm hopefully thinking when gaga becomes first singer in space she'll get people's attention again ;)

As long as she releases good music and we can connect through her , she is not over, charts and money cannot define anyone! Artists write music that pleases them, if she is ok with her songs that means she is strong and music industry cannot contain her!! And that's a powerful message for everyone! :) Gotta <3 her !

I think that LM's don't understand that this little downfall could be the beggining of the end,Interscope won't pay her studio bills,producers and writers if she can't sell it. Her singles aren't really going up on charts and the general public isn't really waiting for her next move. And she needs to do something,I don't think she should make songs just to get to #1 but I don't want her to lose creative freedom she has currently. I don't think her new manager (Bobby) is doing a good job and artRAVE isn't blowing up the ticket sales and that could lead to smaller and cheaper shows->meaning she won't be able to make awesome shows like she does now. Somethings gotta change!

I think the problem is is that gaga shit to fame instantly and had a consistent string of hits and successes. But it's started to waver a little lately. I think it's cos of the issues with her management team etc but this era (I feel) has been sloppy and contradicts everything that she became famous for. She's written songs that apply more to her personal status rather than songs that appeal to a wider audience than just little monsters.

I don't agree with people who say she should get back to the style of music she made with The Fame Monster. Little by little, she makes less and less pop and more and more experimental music, things everyone doesn't like. If people don't like that, too bad for them. I loved ARTPOP and understood it as soon as I listened to it. Being a fan is not only about liking some songs or some statements a singer has made. It's about understanding their choices and their art, this thing that makes you say "I get it !". It's like being in love, you don't choose it.
