I can't believe this!!! 1.600.000 people agreed WHY?!!

This is terrible i saw this on facebook and all the likes almost make me cry, why don't they still understand in USA!!!! In holland we even have the GAY-pride. Let just everyone be who they are, don't have stupid rules about getting married.

Here in Croatia they spent 9mil $ for a referendum so people could vote if they agree that "marriage is only between a man and a woman", so they could put it into constitution, which means you can`t change it anymore, unless a new referendum. It was interesting that the results weren`t that much devastating, but yet, they won it. But it was heavily criticized here because they spent so much money on something like this. Ignoring the fact that many croats have no job and nothing to eat. By many I mean like 30%. maybe more, they put fake statistics on.

it's only a matter of time now. My state of Washington, along with Maryland passed laws by popular vote (which rights of minorities should NEVER be left to popular vote and the whims of the majority) to make marriage benefits open to others. Now especially in the last year, with the removal of DADT and DOMA, couples have been suing and WINNING in every court case against the constitutionality of banning homosexuals the right to marry. This IS changing, and one by one these bigoted laws are falling like dominoes. I remember watching on election night in 2012, and waiting for days until they could call it that referendum 74 had passed, and I will never forget what it felt like to have recognition of equality. It will change, and at the rate is been going, it's not going to take long!

That's because in the U.S. we have a bunch of extreme anti- anything members of congress who think the country was founded on the bible. They are liars, bigots and the most embarrassing part of my government! There are over 22 states now and more states each day are gaining marriage equality by overturning discriminatory laws already passed. I hope to see all 50 states in the next 3 years! :)

Just keep in mind that usually people who are extremely homophobic are usually closeted gays that ENVY your lives because you're happy being yourself!

The laws are changing in America thankfully but a lot of people won't change their opinions but its really their problem because everyone will be married and there's nothing those who are closed minded can do about it!

The U.S.A. doesn't understand because it is full of idiots. I can say this because I'm from the U.S. and living in rural Texas I am surrounded by them. It makes me want to cry too. Get me out of here! There's a strong brand of Christian fundamentalism that is very popular among large regions of the country, most states actually that I've noticed from my travels. It wanes in metropolitan areas and the northeast.
