Hard to believe I had my fifth--and hopefully final--hip surgery one year ago today! It was definitely a grueling one, and I spent over three weeks in the hospital/rehab. I still remember the last few moments before I got taken into the OR; my mom was losing it and I kept saying, "I'll be fine! I'm not scared!" Needless to say, the three/four hours I spent back there were very suspenseful for my family, but it actually went better than expected on all fronts! Today, I am doing absolutely amazing and surpassing any and all expectations which is something I'd never thought I'd be able to say. I've done things with my body that were pretty much considered impossible, due to some amazing surgeons and therapists who I owe everything to. Nothing is impossible and the sky is most definitely the limit! Here's to next year. Forward and onward xoxo
