ARTRAVE Q&A :)
ARTRAVE Q&A :)
Hi everyone! I was picked from the crowd to meet Gaga last night at ArtRave DC. Since everyone has been asking me a lot of questions, here are my two cents! Keep in mind, though, that they're just my opinion, and not necessarily right or wrong.
- I arrived at the Verizon Center at 2pm, and there were probably 15 people in the LMZ line and 70 people in the GA line. The lines got exponentially longer the closer to the concert though.
- LMZ is really great if you want to get to the front railing, which is where I was. GA can still make it to the first few rows though if you line up early (my friend arrived at GA at 2pm and she still managed to get to the 3rd row of people).
- There are a TON of really great places to watch the show with this new setup. I think the best place to watch the show would have been in front of the middle catwalk in the lagoon (i.e. the area surrounded by three catwalks)
- However, if you want to get a note to Gaga like I did, then you should be at the front so you can throw it onto the stage after Aura ends and when the red sofa rises out of the ground. That's when she picks up about 2 letters to read out loud and invite them backstage. If you throw your letter any other time, her dancers will just kick it off the stage.
- Try to think of ways to make your letter stand out so Gaga picks it! Last night, there were at least a dozen thrown at her. I used hot pink tape, which might have made my letter more noticeable... but be creative!
- If you get chosen to go backstage, they will take the pictures for you and email them to you a few days after. You are not allowed to take your own pics.
- Gaga was AMAZING. She was so nice, patient, and loving. She gave us so many hugs and sends her best wishes to all of you guys too! XOXO
I really hope this helps spark some ideas for you all! If anyone has a video of Gaga reading my letter, please share it with me—I would LOVE you for life!
Lastly, it was such an incredible night that I will cherish forever. Here's my outfit if you want to see it! I was inspired by Gaga's backup dancers' transparent/neon outfits during Bad Romance in the ArtRave. What do you guys think of it? :)
