I'm up very late, and when I do this my mind wanders. There are times where I believe that even to this day, people are still incredibly fake. Including our Mother Monster. I feel that up until recently, Gaga has been nothing but a shill. Someone to feed us BS uplifting stories, and fill our heads with ideas of freedom, and rebellion, but none of it is genuine. Pop music is a load of intangible fantasy that keeps us from facing our daily struggles. I feel at times I am being sold an act, to buy in, and give all I have. I feel like a lifeless fan. What joy should I get out of anything, when I just don't see exactly what Gaga is doing for us? Just what is so important about Gaga? Why is she my idol? I forget sometimes, and I get confused. Angry, even. I am not here to slam her down, but I just feel sometimes that maybe it's all a great big show, where Gaga is cooking a great feast for us, and fattening us all up to eat us alive. Gaga has never saved my life. Gaga has never pulled a bottle away from my mouth, or grabbed a knife from my hand, or kept me from overdosing. I feel as if some of you treat her like a saint. Godlike, even. It's so mind-scrambling at times how much we all hand over our souls for a simple smile, or gesture. This world is crashing before our eyes. People are murdered because of ill-informed opinions. Individuals who would rather sit at home, and obsess over someone's opinions, and carry out death threats that would realistically never happen. Life is out there waiting for you. The next time you sit there, and bitch about how you need Gaga in your life because she would make all your dreams come true, remember that she is just one person, and can't be in all places at once. Sure, she's got music, but there are plenty of local people around you that starve to get applauded. Think about who YOU could be helping.
