Applause = Progressive? Lol, it's one of her most commercial song, along with Just Dance. ARTPOP was just following the EDM wave, and the way she asked us so many times to buy Applause (for example) shows she actually cares about charts. And the way this fanbase is always saying "Gaga does art and doesn't care about charts, whereas the other singers are basic and pop" is just disgusting. By the way, Gaga's old works remain (TF/TFM/BTW) as my favorites, she was enough humble to not call herself an artist, and in the meantime this is when she's done her most artistic songs and music videos...
