Opening. Up

Well first off, this ISN'T to get attention. Im opening up. I have body image issues. Im only 16, im 6ft 1 and i weigh 264.0 lbs. when i take off my shirt... I cry for hours. I wonder to myself why or how I ever got like this. At one point, i weighed close to 305.0 lbs. i lost 53 lbs and i cant seem to loose anymore! I need help.

Stay brave! Make good food choices every day, stay as active as you can. You can do anything you put your mind to!

There is nothing wrong with your body :) if you feel like you want to make changes, that's okay. But just know that your body isn't ugly. You're a beautiful person.

Congrats! All of the comments and tips are amazing so I'll try not to repeat. I've been an athlete all my life and it's still difficult for me to reach my health and fitness goals sometimes. Just stay positive and keep at it :) The one thing I can definitely say that I don't think has been mentioned is changing up your exercise routine. After a few weeks of doing the same thing your body gets used to the workouts and that's when you feel your progress start to plateau. You have to surprise your body! Change it up! Try a sport with a friend for fun, take a class, do a video at home. I know it's scary trying new things, especially once you feel you are getting good at something but just have fun with it. Think of it as building your fitness résumé. Your body will thank you :) You can do it!

This was very brave of you. And nice job on losing the 53 pounds! I would suggest drinking LOTS of cold water throughout the day. Try to stop drinking anything with a lot of sugar such as sodas and energy drinks. If you can cut off on those completely, it'll help a lot. One of my other diet tricks is spinach. Not everyone likes it, but it does me wonders. Every once in a while I'll mostly eat just spinach for the week and it works like magic. The one thing I DO NOT suggest is starving yourself. It's good to cut down on how much you eat, but only to a certain extent. No one should ever starve themselves; it's not healthy. But yeah, those are my tips for ya. Good luck, we all believe in you!

Maybe try having a daily exercise routine, change to a low carb and calorie diet, get into some sports at school or in the community. You could try football and turn it all into muscle of you wish. I hope this helps. Stay strong. :)

Read "the power of your metabolism" look it up on amazon or iTunes wherever. You will learn everything you need to know and every little trick. It's about 10 dollars to purchase but it is worth it.

I have the same issue. I'm self conscious about my body too. I don't think I would have the courage to post a pic of me shirtless so I praise you for that. :)

Please don't cry. I don't like the fact body image is such a huge issue with so many people, including myself, these days. It's a disgrace how society enforces unrealistic "normalities" on us. But they really are unrealistic. Just do what makes you happy. The first step is to love yourself for just being you. Love yourself for having courage to even post and share with us this personal information about you that you're trying to combat. Love yourself, treat yourself and your body to good things. Maybe walk somewhere instead of taking the car or bus. But as I said, the first step is to love who you are, regardless of body shape because they are just outlines. xxxx

Dont be sad :D you look amazing, I weigh about 10 lbs less than you and im extremely happy with myself, I dont care what others think, love yourself for who you are, dont care what other people say and think of you, they're not worth your procious time ^__^
