What's wrong with seeking attention?

What is wrong with seeking attention? One thing I've noticed lately here, is that there are a lot of "attention police" cracking down on others who seem to be "looking for attention" and to be honest, I'll admit, I too have done that very same thing. The more I learn about this site, and the incredible monsters here, is that there is nothing wrong with seeking attention. shouldn't we all be seeking something? There are the extremes where people beg and beg for @gaga's attention, and there are also some who make a comment and or a post, and they get chastised for "just wanting attention." Some people post images, whether it be appropriate or innapropriate, that's a different story, (we all need to adhere to the Monster Code of Conduct). As I look into it though, and as I see people making posts on LM, some seem like they're looking for someone to look back at them. Have you ever looked in the mirror and didn't like what you see? we all have, and we all want to feel loved and noticed, so yea, sure, there is nothing wrong with seeking attention, whether it be a like on a post, a comment, or whatever, it makes us feel good, and we don't need to call others out on their posts about how they're just "wanting attention," I suggest keeping that thought to yourself, you dont' have to like or comment, and you certainly don't have to be negative. Remember this Monsters: Sure, we may log into this site the same way, we may all love Gaga and everything she represents, BUT, remember we are all fighting different battles in our life. Please spread the love and appreciation on this site, not the negativity and hate, that gets us no where. Regardless if Gaga would approve, I think we all know she would only want others to post happy and positive things, when someone looks like they're "attention seeking" give them what they want or feel they need, and like the post, or make a nice comment. I understand peoples views, and at the end of the day we are all here for the same reason. We love gaga and we want to make new friends here etc. I personally cant stand the attention seeking. If i feel it is someone genuine and is reaching out for help/support then i will offer that. But if i feel that the person is just doing it for likes/comments etc then i will just scroll past and ignore it. like you said nick no-one has to comment, they choose to. And i dont know why other monsters choose to comment being mean. If they dont like it then they should just carry on scrolling down to something they do like :) @gaga fights in the face of adversity everyday so monsters&all other communities can be free and be who we want to be, people need to remember that [[lm.pawsup]]

feel free to post anything. Dont u ever worry about the 'attention police ' you can post what ever you want to. it doesn't matter if its for attention. i also found out what kind of monsters are here on this site..

Everything we post needs to get attention. people just Dont understand that everything can mean attention. i hate when people comment" attention whore" this is too stupid.

Every word of this, Nick! [[thumbsup]] Everyone seeks attention and to be recognized for what makes them unique. We can't all be talented artists but we should be able to share what matters to us without fear of judgement. That's what Lady Gaga's intentions were when she created this site.

You are LITERALLY the king!! This is so true, thank you!! Everyone here on LM wants attention, we all want that. Everyone who posts something on LM wants others to see their posts, to pay attention to their posts, thats why they are posting. If we didn't want attention, we would save the pics for ourself on our computers or phones and watch them ourselves. I get so much hates for my selfies. Before, i got hated because I just posted selfies and it wasn't gaga-related. Later on, when I started to ask gaga-related questions on my selfies, people started to say that I should stop getting attention through those questions. Whatever, this post really says everything, thank you!!! <3

Sometimes, seeking attention is done in a cheap and reductive way and that’s when a person isn’t seeking attention for something worthy of attention, just gathering likes, that’s all. There’s nothing wrong with seeking attention but there’s something wrong with spam and trash posts like forcing others to see your nudes that I have to close my room door to open this website or posting the same question a trillion times or copying others’ posts or even pretending to be suicidal to get likes, now that’s fucking cheap.

We have had a lot of police squads by now and I've always considered them the way people care about the site and show it. I usually don't pay attention to those comments, maybe because I'm on my 30s and I remember the way I was with 1X or maybe because I think that with all the hormones going crazy here it's just normal that people react this way to some things they consider unappropriate. I've loved your post, Nick, because it shows something important and never said enough: empathy. We can't never be sure about the reasons behind those posts so thanks for putting it in words. all those bitches are copies, I'm the original professional attention whore, but I quit, cause a lot of people seems to hate until now, now I'm spreading love, no more need for attention, I already have it, I was so famous last year for "seeking attention"

It can be 10 likes or a 100 likes both receive some kind of attention b/c it gets noticed & liked by ppl right? & both can be viewed as "attention seeking" I think it just depends on what you post. Some ppl truly post nothing relevant to Gaga or this community & their posts constantly gets to the hot page meanwhile someone else posts something wonderful to this community & it gets pushed off to the side. No one complains to the ppl that post relevant content to this community & their post makes it to the hot page. I've noticed it's more complaining against posts that aren't in any way relevant to this community, & it gets lots of likes & makes it to the hot page. Bottom line it's a matter of what you post & the likes. I agree to some extent to what you're saying :)

Everything you say is true. I'm not looking just for attention, but help and support from a lady whose music I found at the exact moment I needed it. Lady Gaga helped me to continue playing my guitar, which is why I post my videos on here, in the hope that she will one day believe in me and help me to find where I belong. As long as it is appropriate for the site, the freedom to post here and connect with others is awesome, and long may it continue!

Spill that Truth Tea! haha (No hate intended to anyone) I must admit I am an attention whore and I like it :D spread the love, Some need to rememeber it is not a competition to get the most likes or noticed by gaga, nothing wrong with that or wanting attention, just seems people are getting so nasty and judgemental fighting etc, we are free to post whatever we want to spread love, compassion and respect, share your art, gaga pics, writing, poetry, Love me, love me, please retweet! its ok, this site if for US, little monsters :D be free! Hopefully this makes sense and not make me sound like a crazy person haha!
