Today marks 3 years since I got rejected from art college. For over 2 years I was told my style of art is wrong, that I'm talentless, I'm a nobody and I did start to believe it. It took me 2 years but I did finally get over it. I know that probably sounds really dramatic but I have always wanted to be an artist, I have always wanted to create and hopefully inspire others, so to have my work destroyed and ripped up in front of me, laughed at by my classmates and be rejected from art college, it was absolutely heartbreaking. Not just that, it was also the fact of me being an only child. My parents always got comments like 'wow your daughter is going to go far with those skills' when I was younger so to let them down like that was devastating. I still get upset about it now, but Gaga, her music and her message really helped me get back on my feet. Because of Gaga, I now have my confidence back, I no longer self harm, I smile again and I now own and run my own illustration business, and it's actually going really fucking great. :) throughout the bullying I felt like Gaga was my only friend, so now I don't just run my own business for me, I also do it for Gaga. @gaga you make me so proud everyday, I hope one day I can make you proud too, I love you x
Thank you all so much monsters for your love & support when I post artwork, always believe in yourself, if you can dream it, you can achieve it.
