Jordan was a transgender female, but articles using male pronouns with news headlines like "Transgendered Teenager Takes Own Life" show how far the media has yet to come to treat trans* people as valid and equal. Jordan's friend Jared (@jagelzey) shared with us, "It's devastating that my talented and beautiful friend had to leave us they way she did.
