G.U.Y. Double meaning...
G.U.Y. Double meaning...
Before I say this I want to clarify that this is just MY pure speculation as to the double meaning of G.U.Y. (What I got from the video and lyrics)...
The obvious is the New age feminism that she declared in the interview responses to the meaning of the song...
‘‘I don’t need to be on top / To know I’m wanted / ‘Cause I’m strong enough to know the truth’’ I think that these and some other verses are not only referring to sexual acts but also referring to the music industry itself. She doesn't need to be #1 on the charts, (On Top) to know that her fans want her, because she knows that everyone gets their moment at the top of the charts. Just like with Adele being a little more in demand over the year Born This Way was released, and now with Katy Perry going #1 on the charts instead of Applause...
She has been "the it girl" for so long, and she realizes that she can step back and others can come to the forefront and she will be just fine because of us Little Monsters!!!
In conclusion we love you @gaga and are inspired everyday by your message of self acceptance and love/kindness to others!!!
WE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU!!! :D
WETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT YOU'VE GOT US FOR LIFE!!! :')
