I watched the performance at SXSW and quite frankly was disgusted. NOT because I was disgusted at the fact she was being vomited on, because really I think that was quite artistic, but I was disgusted because GAGA is aware this fan base is full of people with eating disorders/ eating issues; a huge one being bulimia. WHAT WAS SHE THINKING? TALK ABOUT TRIGGERING PEOPLE!!! I mean, you would think that she would be aware about this issue having been through it herself. She may be OK with the whole vomiting issue now, but there are many of her fans who are not. Secondly, everything that GAGA does, her fans too want to do. So not only is she triggering it, but she is encouraging it through glamorisation which people are inevitably already copying. This in itself could solely lead to someone trying it out of artistic creativeness and result in them developing a disorder.
