How does it feel to come out?

So... I watched this video, and it is such a great and inspirational video. people were asked how it felt when they "came out", and being a straight man, I will never experience this, so I know, I can't empathize, but I get SO excited hearing this, because it reminds me that my friends, and friends on LM, that they love and support on LM and the way the culture is changing, that it is okay. and it really makes me SO proud to be on LM and associate with such brave people. For those who care to know, I am a [Mormon](mormon.org), and why that matters is, the Mormon culture while they support the individual, the church believes that marriage is between a man and a woman. **THAT SAID** I know that it's something where that specific belief isn't so easily accepted, nor is it something that we on LM really want to hear. so this is me "coming out" about who I am. I am a Mormon, but I am a man who LOVES you all and I truly do. Aside from my religious beliefs (*some of the things I without a doubt believe, and somethings, like homosexuality, and marriage, I don't*) I want to share this message and know that if there are any of my friends on here that have yet to come out of "the closet", just know you have my love and support. I'm straight too, but I support gay people. I'm catholic, and once I was at the church and the priest said: "God made the man to marry the woman. No man should marry a man and no woman should marry a woman." After he said that, I almost started crying. I believe in my religion, but I don't agreed with that at all. Why can't people love who they love? God loves us no matter what. I can't understand why people are so mean to gays.

i will never come out!! i'm Muslim who live in Middle East ( Syria ) if i do it, someone will try to kill me or a bad things will happen to me and to my family.. i only thank God for having 3 friends who know that i'm gay, the know that and accept that caz there are gays too!! sometime i couldn't know what i can do without them haha <3

to bad people have to "come out" they can't just be that way and it not be a "thing" that you have to do so people understand you. <3

Thanks Nick! I came out at 19 & my Mom was so supportive, she was in PFLAG. On the flip side I lost my entire Father's side of the family, tho they were negative & hurtful anyways. No matter what, it's about being TRUE to who YOU are inside! <3 Paws up

Thank You for sharing this Nick. One of the reasons I truly won't come out is because we are all people, as a gay i dislike being labeled as "gay" now because my family always says such horrible things about gays, I grew up so confused. I knew since I was about 5-6 years old I was different from other kids, hearing an being called the F word since the age of 3-4 until now at the age of 17 has really screwed with my mind, I know I tell Younalot about my life but I'm just comfortable telling people i trust things an who I am comfortable telling. i also want to Thank You for sharing your religion and beliefs. I accept your religion although I am not Mormon, I'm not gonna say or think badly of Someone else. You truly are a great person
