I'm going to show this to my partner. She had such a draining conversation with someone on the phone today. This person is always so negative, while my honeybun tries to think well of everyone. Not sure the other person will change, but I want my partner to hold on to her standards of goodness and being sympathetic to other's plights.

I disagree with this message. You should never try and change a person. Nobody should ever have to 'rise' to meet your standards. Everybody is on a even level here. It upsets me to see people thinking they are better that other people. The message should go "Never apologise for being you. People who really want to be in your life will love you for who you are not where you are"
