I love this album indeed. When I first heard it, I thought it would be a great hit. Till now, I still can't believe why the sales figure is that low. I think there is a misconception of the general public that the album is theoretical. People nowadays are really into POP, ART seems to be indigestible to them, creativity is stifled. When they hear 'ARTPOP', they have objectified this can only be a theory but they have never tried to listen to the album. The album is actually not theoretical, it's more about fun, love, personal feelings but not preaching. The ART police are judging Gaga is an 'ART teacher' but she's a canvas instead, showing you what ARTPOP is really about. Don't forget other artists are doing ARTPOP too, Beyoncé's latest visual album is an example. Entitled to be a creative rebellion is not easy, she has tried hard to break all those rules and she deserves a big round of applause.
