My setlist and history to "artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball" #REPOST
According to my logic that Gaga’s tours are sequels of a same storyline, but backwards, the “artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball” is the beginning of everything. The right order, on chronological order, would be “artRAVE”, “BTWBall”, “TMBall” and “TFBall”.
Before we talk about the plot of the “artRAVE”, let’s recall the plot of the previous tours.
BTWB: Gaga is being transported to another place, being arrested, because of a crime she committed. She runs away and gives birth to a new race. The people who arrested her follow her through the whole storyline and “kidnap” her “children” (the monster pit, oddly enough, was a part of the plot. That’s where Gaga’s “children” were trapped in and her act of bringing her fans to the stage, meant that she was rescuing them). Gaga in the end destroys her enemies and goes, along with her children and friends, in search of the...
Monster Ball: Gaga and her friends try to get to a happy place, after having (in the past) faced terrible things (the BTWB events), but many things happen to prevent that. However Gaga gets to reach that happy place, where there’s no worries or fears, which is...
The Fame Ball: it may seem like it doesn’t have a meaning, but the tour doesn’t have a storyline, it is simply the happy ending.
But what crime was it that Gaga committed which made her be taken as a prisoner somewhere else?
“artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball”
In the beginning, Mother GOAT, a mythical being that existed before everything, begins the creation of all that exists in space. Stars, planets and everything else. Mother GOAT creates, then, the beings that would inhabit GOAT. But those beings were too simple; she wanted something as powerful as her, as great as her, so it could rule alongside her.
So she creates Gaga, an immortal goddess which brings love with herself. And thus, in the beginning of the story, we see the birth of Gaga, as the goddess Venus.
Then Gaga’s power keeps growing and the gets to be idolized, worshiped, getting all the attention to herself. Mother GOAT then starts to feel threatened, but does nothing... yet.
In the course of time, Gaga falls in love. But she falls in love with Ares, another god, but he was a violent god which got to betray Gaga in many ways. And that left her completely devastated.
Gaga then, disappointed, decides to abandon her immortality and become human, so she could love and live with someone who was equal to her, someone who had the same imperfections as her.
But Mother GOAT saw it as a betrayal, as a way to affront, so she decides to disturb Gaga’s life.
In a somewhat weird plan, Mother GOAT pretends to be a friend and introduces Gaga to the world of fashion and art. Gaga falls in love with all of that and decided that she wanted to become famous and she does, but, as Mother GOAT planned, she ends up involved with drugs getting to the bottom of the pit, with almost nothing at all.
However, taking a strength from the bottom of her being, Gaga rises again and counters all of the criticisms she got and starts to restore herself. She reconquers the love of her fans and her followers and together they get that moment to be the most glorious of all.
But the fight still wasn’t over. Mother GOAT, seeing that her plan did not work out, reunites her army and goes after Gaga. Gaga e Mother GOAT fight. Gaga defeats Mother GOAT (but she only kills her on the BTWB).
Mother GOAT promises revenge and goes away.
Gaga, finally, feels free to propagate her art through the whole world, and as a gesture of retribution, her fans give her applause.
P.S: The moment when Gaga is “arrested” isn’t shown, but we can understand that everything that happens is enough reason for Mother GOAT to have her arrested.
P.S.2: I imagine the way Gaga defeats Mother GOAT as the way Perseus defeats the Medusa: ripping her head. Therefore in the BTWB, Mother GOAT is a floating head.
