Blood Falls is the name for the red-stain marring the face of the Taylor Glacier, and is the result of sulfur-eating bacteria found in underground lakes beneath the glacier. Located deep in the already enigmatic Dry Valleys in Antarctica, the eerie image is intensified by the animal corpses scattered around the area.
