I'm a football player.. Afraid to come out to my friends and football mates..

It was four months ago I came out. It was exactly four months ago I came out to my russian/azerbaijani parents. They took it well, and they really love me.. I’m just curious if I should came out to my friends.. Would they do the same my parents did? Or will they just hate me? Gosh, im so confused. I want to be free, but it feels like i would never be happier if i told them.. i would lose them..

I think you should do what you feel comfortable with to be honest. And yes some of your friends will take it badly if they aren't that open and accepting, but they might come around and not care and everything will be back to normal. And if they are your friends they will accept you for who you are, if they don't you dont need them as friends. When i came out everyone accepted me and I felt so free. Just be who you are. I would come out to them. If they dont accept you then that just proves that they werent really your real friends. Real friends wont reject you and they will accept you no matter what. I hope you can find that strength to not give a fuck what people will say about you and to be able to say "Screw You" if they dont love you for you . Good luck! :)

Take small steps. No one is making you do it. Just be yourself, and let them figure it out. Or tell your closest friends, then go from there. You don't have to tell everyone you know at once--that could be bad in some cases. Talk to your best friends, and the ones that truly love you will be there for you. If you lose friends it may seem hard at first, but if they liked you before they knew you were gay, and changed their minds once they found out, they were never your friends and you are better off without them.

It's absolutely unnecessary to come out to them unless you really want to or asked of. Actually, no. I dont see why they need to ask. Really cause it doesnt matter. I just want you to know that if any of your friends get to hate you, you can simply ignore him. No other human being is great enough to give you sorrows. Dont be like "he hates me" and lay in bed all day. He is not worth it i'm sure

I go to therapy, and what my therapist told me was about me not only being myself but also to realize that nobody actually needs to know with who you sleep with besides that person. IN MY CASE, i preffer to keep it private, but for different people work different ways, if you feel comfy saying it and you'd feel free.. GO FOR IT. Though, take care. lots of love.

There will always be people who will not like you because you are gay ! so if you wait until you feel everyone will accept you that moment will never happen be Brave and be yourself I know its tough !
